COTE D'IVOIRE

This class project was an attempt to create a ethical chocolate bar brand that reflected the art and imagery of the West African nation of

Cote D'Ivoire. 

I made this brand brief to reflect fair trade and ethical ideals, and as such the brand aims to reduce child labor in the Ivory coast by investing in educational infrastructure for children.

 

The mask motif is based on an ancient artistic tradition of the Ivory Coast kingdoms. These masks are iconic to the region and serve to tie the product into the heritage of it's origin
